DAHS FMARD organised a Web 2.0, Social Media and Networking Training for their Staffs


The Department of Animal Husbandry Services of The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in collaboration with Technical Centre for Agriculture and Rural Cooperation (CTA) organised a training on Web 2.0, Social and Professional Networking for Development for their Staffs.

"Web 2.0" refers to the second generation of web development and web design, characterized as facilitating communication, information sharing, interoperability, user-centered design and collaboration on the World Wide Web. 

Social Media is a Web 2.0 innovation encouraging user-generated content and extending the focus to the users by allowing them to curate others content to share among their networks.
Speaking with some of the participants of the training, they expressed optimum satisfaction on the training saying it has improved not just their knowledge of Web 2.0, Social and Professional Networking but also their General knowledge.
Now I know how to share files via email without attaching said one of the participants.
Speaking to another Participant, he said "I never knew I can do this much with just a Google or yahoo account. I thought Google account was only about receiving or sending mails, now I know it can do so much more that I won't have imagined without this training".
The participants went further by appreciating  the Department of Animal Husbandry Services  (DAHS), Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development  (FMARD) and Technical Centre for Agriculture and Rural Cooperation  (CTA) for giving them such opportunity of a lifetime.
The participants also thanked The Facilitators of the training Mr. John Opigo and Mr. Yomi Abe for taking their time to impact the Knowledge of Web 2.0, Social and Professional Networking.
